Dog Training Programs
Alamo Dog Training in San Antonio, Texas offers several in-home dog training options—and they’re all customizable!
Our programs include:
In-home Training
Our in-home training program keeps your dog in their comfort zone and you at the training helm. A canine behavior specialist will come to your home, determine your needs, assess your dog’s behavior, and create a customized plan especially for you and your household. This plan can be utilized for everything from basic obedience to excessive behaviors and separation anxiety.
Aggressive Dog Training
There are no aggressive dogs; there is only aggressive behavior, and behavior can be modified. Barring any medical issues, we can help your dog overcome whatever triggers their undesirable behavior. We’ve handled cases of sibling aggression, stranger aggression, food aggression, territorial aggression, and more. Our in-home aggressive dog training program can make your dog and your home feel safe again.
Puppy Training
Is there anything more fun than a new puppy? How about a well-trained new puppy? We can take the stress out of puppy adoption by teaching housetraining, proper leash behavior, and basic obedience early. We can teach your dog to respect the boundaries you set with our in-home puppy training program in San Antonio. The earlier you start, the better, so be sure to get in touch right before or right after you bring your new pup home!
Cribs & Canines
We developed this program in response to the high demand for help from new parents. There is plenty to consider when welcoming a baby into your home, and your dog is one of them. How will they react to the new addition? How can you ensure everyone stays safe? How can you make sure your dog won’t get jealous? Give us a call. We have the answers!
Reward Based Training that Gets Results!
All of our programs begin with the same foundation: a focus on basic obedience training. Basic obedience training allows you to get comfortable at your end of the leash, and it affords your dog the same opportunity. The goal of every training program is to improve communication and trust between you and your dog. What changes from program to program is how you’d like it organized and your personal goals.
So, we start with the basics. We make sure your dog learns to listen to you (and anyone else in the household who plans to be involved in the training). You gain confidence in your ability to give commands, and that confidence inspires your dog. You’ll find your dog thrives on the structure.
After all, they are pack animals, and while we don’t use the term “Alpha dog,” you are, in a way, the leader of the pack. You set the boundaries and expectations. Your dog is happy knowing all of their needs will be met.
If you aren’t sure which in-home training program is right for your dog, we’re happy to answer any questions and make recommendations. Get in touch with us via the form or by calling 210.890.3470 today!
